Bobby opened up shop in 1962 and started with small engine repair. Before the area became officially known as the “Northern Neck” and a firmly established vacation spot for many, we serviced mostly workboats. In the 1970s we started selling boats and with a bit of help from his dad, an engineer on a menhaden boat, Bobby started to grow the business even more. By the 1990s Bobby had added a storefront selling marine products and accessories.
Through the years and to this day, Bobby’s Marine continues to meet the needs of the growing boating community by providing honest value, fair prices and the friendliest advice around. Paired with excellent quality service and repair, this is a local one-stop boating shop. Joe’s expertise is unsurpassed. He works on all outboard engines and offers mobile repair and services to customers. He’s certified in Nissan & Evinrude. He also performs fuel filtering and purifying on site or at Bobby’s Marina (usafuelservice.com). Joey focuses on all the details so our customers can enjoy their time on the water.
Whether you’re in the market for a quality pre-owned boat or interested repowering your current boat, we can help. We’re still family owned and operated and we always treat our customers like we want to be treated, like old friends. We take good care of our customers and it shows. That’s why we’re still out here doing business as one of the oldest marine dealerships in the area.
Stop by for a visit and support local business. Bobby’s Marine is a proud supporter of local organizations, businesses and events like the Fairfield Fire Department, Smith Sea Rescue, the National Jamboree of Boy Scouts and the annual National Hospice Regatta.
Come on by the shop, we would be happy to help you and your family get out on the water and enjoy this beautiful area of the Chesapeake Bay.
